Professor Nathan Efron
Nathan Efron is an Emeritus Professor in the School of Optometry and Vision Science at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia, and Editor of the journal Clinical and Experimental Optometry. He lectures extensively world-wide, particularly in the field of the ocular response to contact lens wear, and has published over 1,100 papers and has written/edited seven books. In 2015 Professor Efron was made a Companion of the Order of Australia, which is Australia’s highest civilian honour, for his contributions to optometry and vision science.Professor Padmaja Sankaridurg
Professor Sankaridurg is Head, Myopia Program and Head, Intellectual Property Manager at the Brien Holden Vision Institute and Conjoint Professor at the School of Optometry and Vision Science, Sydney, Australia. She has been researching myopia for over a decade and her interests are strategies to slow myopia as well as refractive error development.
Dr Elena Garcia Rubio
Dr Rubio is Director of the Instituto Nacional de Optometría (INOP) in Madrid. She has specialised in pediatric optometry, pediatric contact lenses and myopia control; working on myopia control with orthokeratology since 1996 and with soft contact lenses since 2013. She is an active member of the International Myopia Institute Ambassador programme serving on behalf of Spain.
Karen Walsh
Karen Walsh is an Optometrist and educator with more than two decades of experience across industry, academic and clinical settings. She is the Director, Global Professional Affairs – 1 day & FRP Brands at CooperVision. She formerly was the Professional Education Team Leader and Clinical Scientist at the Centre for Ocular Research & Education, (CORE) University of Waterloo, Canada.
Sarah Smith
Sarah Smith graduated from Optometry at The University of Manchester and, after a period in practice, returned to the university in 2013 to take up the role of Research Optometrist with Eurolens Research. Sarah is a Fellow of the British Contact Lens Association.
Dr Annegret Dahlmann-Noor
Dr Annegret Dahlmann-Noor is a consultant ophthalmologist in the Children’s Service at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London and also the Clinical Trials Lead for Paediatric Ophthalmology. She is an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at University College London.
